Clarel AuGuste, Jr

Accounting Student at Merrimack

Clarel AuGuste, Jr received his undergraduate degree in Accountancy from Bentley University. After graduating from Bentley Clarel was hired as a temp to work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). With hard work and personal sacrifice, Clarel was able to work his way to a permanent position at MIT and later into a Senior Accounting role. While at MIT, Clarel was exposed to ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, financial analysis, and general accounting terms and process. Clarel taught himself how to write SQL and used it to improve processes and reporting. His goal in life is to combine his knowledge in accounting and analytics to provide in-depth and valuable reporting.

Tammy Collins

Accounting Student at Merrimack

Tammy Collins owns a bookkeeping practice and has been working with small businesses across the country since 1998. Tammy lost her husband of 20 years in 2018 and he had always wanted her to earn her Master’s. Tammy is working to accomplish that goal while continuing to grow her company. She currently provides full-charge bookkeeping services through trial balance and recently began working in conjunction with a local CPA firm with small non-profits on their auditing needs. Her ultimate goal is to become a CPA and add auditing services to her firm’s list of service offerings for small business sand non-profits.
Tammy is also a long-time volunteer with animal rescue and a former Cub Scout leader. She has a 13-year old son who she home schools with a technology focus as he is a coding virtuoso. Tammy has also founded the West Warwick STEAM club through 4-H in coordination with the University of Rhode Island. The Club is an educational and community service program for middle/high school students to acquire skills in the STEAM fields to plan for college and career paths as well as the development of hobbyist interests.

Joe McCormack

Accounting Student at Merrimack

Joe McCormack received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts. He worked for several years at J.P. Morgan Chase as a Senior Analyst in Alternative Investment Products. Joe is currently working as a Tax Supervisor at State Street in Boston since 2016.
Joe decided to go back to school to earn his Masters in Accounting at Merrimack to help further his career and to continue to leverage his deep analytic thinking with his economic and financial background.
Outside of his professional life, Joe loves to cook and enjoys an extremely active lifestyle.
